I haven't heard of this mod spoken about in a while and figured a reminder was due.

This is more of a heads up for the new guys and even some regulars on the .org. Many a left fairing has been lost because of the kickstand not swinging far enough forward to properly "set" the Busa when placed on it's kickstand. A simple notch in the kickstand itself cures the factory problem and gives your bike alittle more lean. Check the mods section and thank me later, this might save your bodywork.

Plus this mod will help if you lower your bike too.

I like living on the edge Paul...I'm not doing the kickstand mod...

But, thanks for the reminder...

True, but even lifted the kickstand presents a roll forward danger in the stock configuration.

I would have done it if I hadn't purchased an adjustable kickstand.

Thanks, I did mine soon after getting my '04.

It doesn't matter what we say about this though, some people here will never do the mod because they don't consider it necessary.

I did it because, regardless of whether the bike is left in gear etc. or not, the bike sat too upright on the sidestand - in my opinion - compared to other bikes I've owned.

I also fitted a center stand, and there's plenty of people on here who think that's a waste of time also.

Each to his own...

I myself don't like the straight out kickstand look. It puts me at rest to see a stand swing alittle forward where i know it won't kick out. That's why when i go to HD dealers i think all the bikes are about to tip from HD's locking straight out kickstand design.

When I saw this post, I thought you dropped the bike. Had me worried Paul.
