Kevin Varner Tribute Ride -Sunday​

A tribute ride for Kevin will start at MR Motorcycle and will be led by the Iron Cavalry Motorcycle Club.

Riders will meet this Sunday, March 29th, at 1pm, at MR Motorcycle, 774 Hendersonville Road (Highway 25), Asheville.

Directions: I-40, Exit 50, South one mile.

Non-riders are also invited to follow the ride to Mount Sheba Baptist Church in Weaverville, where the services for Kevin will begin at 2pm.

Only saw what Kat posted up in another thread; I'll post it here for those that might be interested in helping with coordinating...

On Sunday, he will be transported at 1 PM from West Funeral Home to Mount Sheba Baptist Church. I really need someone to step up here locally as Honor Ride Captain. I want to escort Kevin to his final resting place. This person needs to contact a staging location large enough to accommodate a group allowing ample time to stage 45 min to 1 hour before departure to funeral home, arriving by at least 15 minutes before departure at 1PM. They will also need to coordinate with West Funeral Home to notify them of Varner Family request for Motorcycle Honor Escort, verify departure time, and verify parking location for escort. Once staging information is set, I will need for MR Honda, and any shops Kevin dealt with notified. Please contact me at 828.696.2151 in the AM. There will be several family members riding.

I'm kind of depending on Kat to keep us all posted on the ride stuff, if she's found an escort for this, etc...Kevin was involved with so many riders from various boards, there's a chance the escort for this won't be from the oRg unless one of you has already contacted her to have the honor.

Mr. Bogus brought up a good point to me earlier...for those that are riding in Sunday's procession on bikes, be there before 1 p.m. and READY TO GO at 1 p.m. so the riders aren't the reason for any delays.
