steering damper

i was cleaning and waxing my bike, and i reached down under Handel bar grabbed steering damper and it was loose. is it suppose to be like that? just currious.cause i went to the bike shop today and try move ducati steering damper bike and it was solid.

It should only pivot on the triple tree, it has a roller. It should be tight on the left side. Also changing the oil in it helps alot.

it should have a little wobble on it because one side is on a Pivoting head.

90W gear oil is whatcha need. great mod

thank guys for the feed back. got my tire changed today pp 2ct. my old one was normal pp and my rear bakes changed too i got ebc hh. going to take her out this weekend for breakin.up here in canada this tire cost me over $300.the dealer listed price over $400. damm.

Go w/ Scott's, adjustable - best mod for me so far, but I hit the twisties HARD. I switch it between the Busa & my RC51 racebike.

it much be like rubber2burn said. it won't move from side to side, but it wobble. when i have time i will try new oil in it.
