So, while cleaning my chain today I noticed that if I grip the rear sprocket and twist, it has about an 1/8 of an inch of play? This is not the chain moving, it’s the sprocket moving? I am not a bike maintenance expert, but I am thinking wheel bearings (carrier bearing)worn?

Bike is a 07 with 9200 miles

Where can i get one online it that's it?

Thanks in advance

William

Likely the cush rubbers. I've seen it on several bikes and have not seen the bearing causing it.

Between the sprocket hub and the wheel you will find the rubbers, mine does not really move by hand but it wouldn't hurt to check them out (I have an 02 w/22k)

Honda East can fix you up with OEMs. There are aftermarkets out there also. I think sponsors Boost by Smith, Pashnit, and Schnitz all carry them.

I think you're probably talking about normal play in the cush drive. '07 9K miles. If you install new ones you might not have as much play, but you'll still have some play. It's designed that way.
