(nitrousjunkie @ Jan. 05 2007,11:01) You gonna go 10 inch tire racing?

LOL, I ain't that fast. Them 10 inch tire classes are getting silly fast.

I am going to sneak around the streets at night. Then just do some regular bracket racing in the pro class. Brake, no box.
I know what you mean,if you aint running 4:80's you getting back on the trailor. Its still a nice car, ought to run some 6:0's or high 5's with that compression and you get a good converter. Will a 31 fit up under there?

If it gets into the 6's I will be ecstatic.

31's won't quite fit, the frame is notched and it had 30x12.50's on it, but they were too close to the front lip of the quarter and one got chewed up. I put some 28x11's on and have tons of room.

Here is a pic of the old tires.

Nice looking Bu. I'm so glad I got out of the car scene now. Looking at your pics, talking about racing and then I look at the $ I spent on them things...ugh.

Here's the vid of my Camaro just before the track shut down in Hawaii...then I sold it just a few months ago.

Good luck with everything and hope you stomp some of lil ponies out there!

Hell yeah cars are big money to go fast... I spent about $90k on mine over the years, and now with the Busa I can do all these small projects in 1/20th of the time, and just start it up and GO!

Here's a couple videos of my Mustang, ran a best of 9.38 @ 148 with one turbo.  I parted it out but I still have the rolling chassis for sale.  Can't wait till that is gone so I can have a garage again.

Now get out there and drag that bumper.
If you don't mind a little constructive input... Is that fuel line feeding the solenoids regulated? If not, it needs to be a 2-port with one side feeding each solenoid, and hung right in front of the carb. If you have one on that line before the splitter, consider changing it as mentioned. Then build a flow gauge and use it to tune. Most of all have fun; car looks great.

I know what you mean. I quit cars a long time ago for that very reason, but that pounding V8 sound called me back.

I can't wait to drag the bumper!! Thanks for the input. the fuel feed is regulated. It is it's own system, a blue pump, 1 gal cell, and a reg then split with a nice Y. I do agree using both ports is the better way. I may change it before long.

It used to do much better. On that particular run, I blew the rearend...again.. 1st stock 10bolt went after around 700 passes went thru it. Then a stock take-out went in, same 3.23 gears. But launching them 10bolts with nitrous = replacement soon. I ended up putting a Moser 9" w/ strange NI Center 3.50 Detroit Locker, launched a few times pulling the fronts out up and out to the near the 60' mark, then sold it once I moved here...after demodding it. Oh well, over $36k total in that car, after all the selling was done got $20k or so out of it. Thats cars for you. GL with yours... I love nitrous.

Its amazing what those 10 bolts will put up with. My buddy has been beating one to death in his BB camaro for years, I am constantly amazed. It's just that one time....
