Where is the rectifier located? Is it easy to get to? BTW I have a pdf of the 2009 service manual. If you want a copy send me an e-mail.
If you have the manual you should know....

I talked to my dealer today and they ordered mine. they said it will take no more than 2 hours to change. I think I'll have to go next door to Hot Shots for lunch while they change it.

2008 blue almost 13000 no problems EVER. called stealership today and mine is recalled
Over 23K on mine and no issues at all. Went to the dealer and showed the recall letter. Unfortunately i'm on the list. Dealer here has no idea when parts will arrive but i'm going to keep riding until i get the new one installed..

Talked to my dealer yesterday. They said all their parts are backordered but an order is in for a replacement for mine.

just spoke to my dealer and they got the "stop sale" bulletin but not the official word to accept recalls for the rectifier. no letter from suzuki yet and i am getting anxious because i just bought a new battery. lately she won't fire up the 1st go around and the headlight dims and fades out completely. i wait 2 min. and she fires up flawlessly. they said to check back next week. :banghead:

Paid a visit to my dealer today, bought what I needed for an oil change and got my rectifier ordered. It's on back order and they'll call me when it comes in. Service manager said 15 minute repair.

On top of that the oil and filters ran me the same amount of money they did last year when I last changed my oil :cheerleader:

Got a call from the dealer today. Part in. Work to be done at 1300 hours tomorrow. :beerchug:

I was told Tuesday afternoon on backorder. Called this afternoon and asked if I could have the bike in tomorrow at 1300. Great in my book.

I call my dealer to ask about this and when I gave him my vin he said I have 2 recalls. This one and something about the kill switch or something like that, I forget already lol. Has anyone heard of the other one?

There was an ignition switch issue when the bike was locked left it wouldn't turn over at all. I think they had to replace a cable that was too short.

update: they called me back today and ordered my part for the swap out during the middle of next week. :thumbsup:

no, call your dealer and explain that your rectifier is on the recall list and ask if you can make an appointment as soon as possible to have it replaced.
