Brendan was indeed tapping his knee on the Fontana run, with BusasMom on the back on top of it. And the tires were holding (I was kinda surprised a few times) so I know that intellectually mine should hold, but instinctively I don't BELIEVE yet, so I pull up/back off...
LA Busa, gonna see you in about 2 weeks and am hoping to glean some stuff off you down at Barber. Don't understand the "pushing the front" as a sign that we are getting close...? I talked to Tuf about moving up to intermediate he thought it would be ok, but I think you've got to safety wire everything and wear back brace which I don't have. So gonna have to talk to them. Baby steps. have touched the left puck but not the right one - yet.
Ok Jedei Master Tufbusa, it appears you have a large following, just don't ask me to drink the coolaide! Or, better yet "There is no spoon!"

Seat time is the best confidence builder. And getting your puck on the ground is kind of like that first scratch on your new car, its over with, now get on with life!
Mount a GoPro behind you, it will tell/show you all the things you are doing wrong/right, and will be out of your FOV so you can concentrate on riding.
My last trackday out was a huge learning experience. Just keep riding.

hey at least I got the hooch out of the secret stash area before it went bad...Sir (not thread jacking here R'man) I look forward to meeting up with you out there.
Stay away from room 118![]()

Just remember, only ONE cheek off the seat and point your body upper body into the turn. Dragging will happen.
My next track day will be on a set of BT002RS or BT003RS rubber. I hear from a reliable source that the BT016 will get too hot pushing hard on the track. I will save those for the street.
Hopefully Tuff, I will get to do a track day with you sometime this summer. I will be enrolling for the 200 group on my first track day this year. I'm not sure of the date yet. I have many other things going on that need to be taken care of first.
well this time tomorrow.... more practice!
Same here, leaving for Barber in about 2 hours. Keep it rubber down!
I followed Adam (Rubber2burn) on that last track session w/ a Go-pro camera. He has a good lean angle, but what I noticed was he was getting his body off, but rotating around the bike instead of moving across the seat parallel. This forced his knee to pull in close to the bike instead of out & down. Have someone follow you w/a camera so you can see what you are doing.
I won't take my Busa to the track, I have the 600RR for that. This is from Memorial Day. I met up w/ Charlesbusa at Texas World Speedway. His 1st track day in his new home Texas.
thank you... looks like the stuff I have seen out there... must be the magic bullet I neededStomp Grip tank pads will help with grip.
