And a GoPro camera in the right spot might also provide some great feedback! I never knew how close I got at the bash until I looked at the video!

Seat time is the best confidence builder. And getting your puck on the ground is kind of like that first scratch on your new car, its over with, now get on with life!

Mount a GoPro behind you, it will tell/show you all the things you are doing wrong/right, and will be out of your FOV so you can concentrate on riding.

My last trackday out was a huge learning experience. Just keep riding.

Brendan was indeed tapping his knee on the Fontana run, with BusasMom on the back on top of it. And the tires were holding (I was kinda surprised a few times) so I know that intellectually mine should hold, but instinctively I don't BELIEVE yet, so I pull up/back off...

LA Busa, gonna see you in about 2 weeks and am hoping to glean some stuff off you down at Barber. Don't understand the "pushing the front" as a sign that we are getting close...? I talked to Tuf about moving up to intermediate he thought it would be ok, but I think you've got to safety wire everything and wear back brace which I don't have. So gonna have to talk to them. Baby steps. have touched the left puck but not the right one - yet.

Ok Jedei Master Tufbusa, it appears you have a large following, just don't ask me to drink the coolaide! Or, better yet "There is no spoon!"

Sir (not thread jacking here R'man) I look forward to meeting up with you out there.
I just wish I had gone on 'that ride' with Aqua and Steve-O.... Here I was, at The Gap and NEVER rode with my instructor... travesty that is.

I still wish you had opted for "I" Sky...
Me and my troupe are not fast, not uppity, we know our limits (which are many) and just go out there to develop one technique at a time and have fun............ and talk crap thereafter.
It will be fun either way.
I am on a new ride and have a lot more to learn myself. I will easily be the most frightened bastid at the track on June 13...

Biscuit, just keep doing what you are doing. Like I said, do the little things and the rest will take care of themselves.
Oh, and one other key to really good riding:

Stay away from room 118:rofl:

Now, THAT is a great location for a camera mount...put it on the 5 sec option, and you'd have good pics of your form all the way around the track; video even better!

Just remember, only ONE cheek off the seat and point your body upper body into the turn. Dragging will happen.

My next track day will be on a set of BT002RS or BT003RS rubber. I hear from a reliable source that the BT016 will get too hot pushing hard on the track. I will save those for the street.

Hopefully Tuff, I will get to do a track day with you sometime this summer. I will be enrolling for the 200 group on my first track day this year. I'm not sure of the date yet. I have many other things going on that need to be taken care of first.

In the loki pic. He looks a little bit twisted to the right on his upper body. When your azz crack is on the edge of your seat you want your body to be in line with it, or parallel to the bike. If this makes any sence...

I've got a set (and another new set) of 016's, Steven seemed to think that the 016 was a pretty decent tire (of course I'm not really pushing it that hard)...

I followed Adam (Rubber2burn) on that last track session w/ a Go-pro camera. He has a good lean angle, but what I noticed was he was getting his body off, but rotating around the bike instead of moving across the seat parallel. This forced his knee to pull in close to the bike instead of out & down. Have someone follow you w/a camera so you can see what you are doing.

I won't take my Busa to the track, I have the 600RR for that. This is from Memorial Day. I met up w/ Charlesbusa at Texas World Speedway. His 1st track day in his new home Texas.

That is exactly what I was talking about in my earlier post. Your body needs to stay parallel. You can see how loki is not parallel. And I'm not picking on you at all. I still got tons to learn myself.

Aqua, you are correct. I was however exiting the corner and beginning to straighten up. I am normally head out/lower more, keeping me inline. I got a LONG way to go though. I am only 2 track days into my experience, running on a 600 class track. I do what I can. Keep in mind, I am still a novice at this and only relaying what I have picked up so far.

MPH. How's my good friend Charles doing in Tx? You're definitetly very lucky to have a good rider like Chaz riding with you guys there. Did he like TWS?

think I found an issue... bagster needs to go away on track days...

kept getting that weird disconnected feeling on the right hand turns (got past it, just took more work) think I see why.. this is coming out of T7 at full throttle, note that the bagster strap is pulled clear loose (guess I better go in garage and check to see that it is still on the bike)

so I ditch the bagster for the track and what kind of stuff do I put on side of tank for some "grip" ?

Stomp Grip tank pads will help with grip.
