I dont think the Road2 is out yet. Cycle Gear lists the Pilot Road, but not the Road2.

I eliminated the chicken strips off my HPX's on the Generals Hwy in Cali two weeks ago; they stuck just fine

I'll prob. go for another pair of HPX's once this trip is over and I'm back home...

Have you run the Powers? Do they give you the same confidence level??

I went through 3 - 4 sets of Powers before trying the HPX's. I was cautious on them at first, but kept pushing them and to be honest, I can't make out the difference between the two. Maybe at track speeds in full-tilt lean there's a noticeable difference between the two tires, but for spirited public-road riding, the HPX's have been great.

If I was really going to push it, I'd say go Powers for the front and an HPX on the back.
