Check out this thread. Your feet and especially your ankles will love you for it. If the Sidi's are more than you want to pay then any decent riding boot is going to treat you better than a Doc Martin for riding. I got Whites that I use for work and they are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned, hand made and all, to walk or work in but they aint worth a sh*t for riding.
