You're going to get conflicting advise on this topic.
I broke my 93 GSXR in just like the manual says, nice and easy and got 73k miles out of it with no engine probs. So I broke in my 'Busa the same way and I have 31k miles on it with no problems either. (knock on wood) Oh and I don't baby it now...
