Opinions please to Flash ECU or Dyno tune...

I'm ready to get the bike tuned but I hear some talk about ECU flashing. When I had my TL1000R, I remember hooking up a Yosh box for +5 low, +10 mid, +5 high. I've got a PCIII- just don't know which way to go. A little insight would be helpful and always appreciated. Thanks guys

"A powercommander custom mapped by the right person will ALWAYS generate a better FUEL map than Ecu Editor ever could. It is more about the software than anything else . . . but I would still strongly recommend some Ecu Editor "tweaking" along with the pc custom map. I've said this time and time again".


This is exactly what I have done and recommend. Had a very good custom map made for pearl then had the ecu fiddled with. Removed the soft limiter and gear restrictions, lowered the temp at which the fans come on and the 186 limiter was removed.

I didn't realize they can turn fans on sooner. Dangit!
