Obama releases original birth certificate

you might be a racist if............................... ???

Honestly I dont get it. I HATED Bill Clinton, but he was still my President. I voted for Bush twice. I was actually happy Obama won as I thought it signaled our country finally shifting in a direction that we could all be proud of. Obama is not the monster that people are making him out to be. Will I vote for him in 2012? prob not, but i am not going to incessantly blast the guy for no good reason. Him being black is the only thing I can see being such an issue that some closed minded people cannot look past.

Him being black is the only thing I DO like about him :p
But yeah some folks are a little nuts about the whole thing

What I find ironic about this whole situations is that no one ever listened to Pres. Bush. He said absolutely nothing about the birth certificate thing and no one ever questioned it. Don't you wonder why?

As president Bush's job was to uphold the constitution and protect our country. If he had an inkling that a foreigner was trying to steal the presidency, he would have it investigated. This is only speculation but, either:
1). He had it investigated and found Obama was eligible to run for president and withheld that information as a political ploy to sway sheple voters.
2). He didn't do his job to protect the American people which would give credit to the term "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT":rulez:

So conservatives, pick your poison:whistle:

Please don't say Bush had more important things to do.:moon:

I'll never understand the org, Bush puts us into a trillion dollar deficit, but don't talk about him, he's like some kinda freakin' superhero. I would bet my bike that if Al Gore was elected, the Iraq invasion would never have happened. That alone is a good enough reason for me.

BTW, you guys do realize that Gore won the popular majority, while Bush won the Electoral College, right? I mean, we do make such a point to yell out how democratic a nation we are, yet the man that won the presidential election by popular vote was not our president - just sayin.

If my choice was between donald trump and Obama I would rather have Obama just out of principle. My wish is that Ron Paul would actually get a decent backing.

the only people yelling about how democratic a nation we are........

don't realize we are not a democracy. never were.

Yeah...but it's the Democrats who are the ones that can't look past the fact that he's a halfrican. - They are the only people in politics who constantly bring up the racial issue. I've heard nothing from the GOP about Obama being (slightly) Black.

in reality, the whole "Birther" band of lunatics are a big problem. like any group of fanatics they latch onto a subject and won't listen to any type of reason...

with all the legitimate issues to bring up:

1. National Healthcare
2. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act- $700 billion dollar stimulus
3. failure in Afgh.
4. New war in Lybia
5. Gulf Oil Failure
6. record un-employment
7. Failure to protect US border
8. Illegal Immigration Failure
9. Failure to close GITMO
10. Don't ask, Dont tell.

Two years into the total failure of a President that promised Hope, and Change......we see nothing but failed promises, and out and out lies......

there are real complaints to be brought up, worrying about the "Birth Certificate" just makes people look silly.

Im going to stay short ans sweet on this.
1 obama is nothing but talk. hes a good talker and everyone believed his shi7. If that idiot gets voted in again you can bet and plan on civil war. Also plan on a nice socialist america.
2 I can produce any number of birth certificates for you or myself from any number of different website with the correct amount of money. And if that fails there are more then enough 'street' vendors to pull it off as well.
3 What happened to him being born in africa? I had heard they had a couple of people to testify of this and one had been murdered and the other was in hiding.

don't realize we are not a democracy. never were.

I was pointing out the irony of this largely held misconception (trying to). I am also fully in support of electing a man with the popular vote, rather than the electoral college, but it is a lot easier to plan your campaign around the electoral college.

BTW I would think (honestly) you would find most Americans lauding our democracy. Kind of like Jay Leno's little street quizes that he does. Everyone knows who lives in a pineapple under the sea, no one knows who lives on Pennsylvania Ave.

Your list, is it really That much different than any other president? I mean, really?

1. What you would like him to do? How do you fix this? Better yet, fix it within 4 years ( )
2. According to some reports this has already been paid back
3. A gift from the former president and as winnable as Vietnam. I don't understand how no one understands that history repeats itself (i.e. Russia)
4. Concur :duh:
5. It's oil, you don't touch oil - who do you think really pulls the strings on these puppets?
6. I see 1982 as the highest in history, not to mention its cyclical, not to mention I don't believe he CAUSED this, he INHERITED this. It's like a bomb - it has a fuse that delays detonation.
7. A continuing issue, I don't see a fix coming from either spineless party
8. See above
9.Meh
10. Seriously? Gay doesn't offend like it used to. I think this is more of a generational gap than anything. Ancient Greeks, including the Spartans allowed homosexuality - I dare say you won't find a badder mofo than an ancient Spartan.

Here's the difference between having a dem President. If Bush had focused Congress on health care reform while the economy burned to the ground, he would have been crucified by the media. If he had not pulled out of the middle east as promised, he would have been crucified. He would have been crucified for not responding to the oil spill. Launching missles on Libia. He would have been called war mongering.

The media pushes all this to the back page when Obama does it and Obama blames Bush in his flowery speaches. You need to form your opinions on more than what you see on the TV. A leader has integrity and takes personal responsibility, regardless of the situation. Two things that are seriously lacking in this country.

I dont care what color or background our next president has, I just hope to God he/she will actually LEAD this country for the best interests of the the people, and not themselves. We need a business man in office, not a another politician.

There in lies the problem. The democrats could not accept that this is how the electoral process works. Doesn't matter who had more votes. Bush won the electoral college, PERIOD. should have been end of story but we had to recount and then hand count and even 'search' for hanging chads to try to find more votes for who was nothing more than a sore loser! Do I agree and think who has most votes should win? Yes but unfortunatey that is not how it works.

Your probably right..sure wish it would have went the other way and maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.

Talk about delusional...

GWB faced the largest Terror Attack the US has ever faced - head on.
GWB finally got tired of Saddam's and the Taliban's BS and did something about it.

Compared to the current yahoo in office, who had never held a real job, never served in this country's uniform IN ANY CAPACITY, got government assistance to get into law school, GWB is 10 times the man, and 10 times the leader our current President is.

Have you not noticed that NO President really, truly publicly criticizes his successor or any other sitting President? Reason why is a) not good for country and b) until you've walked a mile in those shoes...

Sure hope your not talking about that dump azz Trump:please:

no, Trump is an idiot. No real conservative could vote for Trump. The Dems love it, as they know it makes the Republicans look bad.

The Donald has been bankrupt twice, I dont' care for him one bit. Let him be the Ross Perot of this election as long as he doens't split the vote when it comes to the final election.

The birth certificate was being discussed in the spring of 2007, more than 6 months before the election and almost a year before he took office. At that time Bush or anyone whos job it was to certify the candidates could has spoken on the issue. Something as simple as we are looking into it, or we have found (support for either side of the coin).

This is what I believe, Somebody somewhere has the job to make sure the candidates qualify for the job. They did their job and found that all candidates were qualified. When this issue came up they were told not to speak on it.

a) Telling the American people that a candidate for president is or is not qualified for the job is not criticism or support. But it is party politics to let this type of crap be the focus of an election.

b) After walking a mile in his shoes I still would make sure that the person who is taking my place has the right to be there. Otherwise, he would be saying "I don't care what happens to this country since I can't be president anymore" and I refuse to believe that.

1. Healthcare is too expensive....you don't lower the cost of healthcare, by giving forcing gov. insurance on everybody....what I would like a president to do is fix the problem. lower the cost of healthcare.
2. Incorrect, money given to Auto companies, and some Wall Street firms has been repaid....but many states and local gov. got stimulus money that got was used to pay for "public works projects". I may be wrong, but I pass by several construction projects with signs that proclaim "this was paid for by TARP".
3. Obama is the C in C, now any failures in Afgh. are his....
4. no issues
5. Just like Bush should have stepped in after Katrina, Barry should have stepped in as oil was spilling into the Gulf.
6. I know he inherited it...but that does not mean he cannot try to fix it. Oprah told us he was "brilliant"...lets see it.
7. & 8.I don't care who does it, just fix it...ignoring it has not and will not work.
9. & 10. I don't care either way

just saying that he has done some real things to make issues about, latching onto the "birth certificate" is lame....
