After only 1-1/2 weeks, here it is ... the craftsmanship is unbelievable! Tobin even called to tell me it was done and on its way

Nice looking seat...

Does anyone know what the purpose of the step in the tobin is. Is it functional? If I understand it correctly Tobin will make the seat with or without the step. Anyone ridden both? Is there a difference? I'm thinking (never sat on one) that it is just the lower height that creates a better seating position. Someone please educate me why a Tobin appears to be so comfortable to so many...

The step is for drag racing to keep you from sliding.

Completely different shape, moreso a curved bowl and holds your hips in placed while riding. Actually a very good travel seat.

Pashnit, how come you never put genmar or helibars on your bike, or did you? With all of the riding that you do, I would have thought that would have been a natural...

I just put 1'' soupy's block on mine. It is interesting, definitely different. Bigger difference than I would have expected for just 1". I only rode it for about 2 miles so far, but I almost think I like the stock set up better. We'll see...
