need computer help

the are a few files i click on and cant get sound. im running windows media player. version 10 i think. anyway im thinking its a codec or something i need. im not very computer literate so i cant be sure. here is an example of a file i cant get sound on.

try the top one for codecs if it does not work the second one is a another player but it installs codecs that should get window media player to play the sound or you can go to microsoft and look for codecs.
sometimes when you play a video it will automatic mute, check your volume controls on the the computer and make sure they are one when the video starts.

I use VLC player - it plays everything!
