turn off your internet, take the computer, or trust your kid. those are pretty much the choices. realistically, the more you shelter him, the worse it's gonna be when he's on his own. maybe church is an option? meh, i think i'll step out on this one.

Exactly...prevention much better than punishment too late the damage is done after the fact....

100% agree, Net Nanny more "public" place in the house for the computer. Spying is lying! :rulez: At 16 a kid needs to trust his parents have his back, not feel like they are over his shoulder especially without his knowledge. It's not if he will find out, just a matter of when.

Setting guide lines and letting people know what is expected is the adult way of dealing with things, it will be appreciated from both sides with time. At 16 I knew more WAY more about computers then my parents and them pulling this would have hugely backfired. I respect the idea, but IMHO the method is shady and I can see where a teenager would be much less level headed.
