Need a good place to get tires.

I lost track on some of the good sites to get tires. My lil'sis needs some new hoops fr her 03' R6. They're 120/60/17 and 180/55/17 She really doesn't take any corners and probly could benefit from using touring tires instead, but i don't want to make the bike handle worse by doing so. Any opinions?

A bit off point here.....but anyhoo.

The R6 will benefit from using a more conventional 120/70 on the front. I have, scratch that wife has an 03 R6 as well. When I finished the re-build and was doing some test riding...the front end just didnt feel right. It was twitchy and did not feel planted.

I did a bit of research on the R6 Forums I visit. That is a common complaint. The fix was a 120/70 for the front and the fork tubes lowered between 5 to 17 mm to compensate for the added ride height.

I am sure with new rubber the wifes bike handled better, but more than new rubber should make it feel. I really like the 120/70 with the forks lowered......just hard to describe.
