I want Valkyrie Rune for a long time... amazing machine. Like nothing else.

They stopped making them in 2005 but you can find brand new one for about $19000

MSRP was $25k.

My old LT had a M109. They are some of the sharpest bikes out there. Their styling is seacond to none compared to other cruisers IMO.

If you want a cruiser/custom type ride you can't beat the M109R for the price. Fast as hell for that type of bike and a good aftermarket parts support. I've owned mine for two years and had plenty of fun on it. Can dust most cruisers except for the VRod, but with a few mods (like mine) it can roll the VRods too (if stock)....The bike is definitely an attention getter and I have had no problems at all with it. It is definitely different than riding the busa, I thought I was ready for this type of bike but I miss the sport bike ride more. I am going to be selling mine this March and hoping to find a new 08 Busa Orange/Black with 0 miles by May or June. Just hope there is a leftover somewhere. Anyway, you won't be disappointed with the 109, I am not disappointed at all....I just want to get back into sport bikes, and the wife won't let me have both....Too many other toys I guess....

Ok I'll say it Big D, Harley Road King, forget the naysayers, I have mine just for the wife and kids and all will tell you it's hard to beat...

Yes theres alot of competition out there and yes Harley has it's flaws, and no you dont have to super chrome it and all that jazz, but thinking about your height and long lankyness my brother you might want to give it a look..im just sayin...oh and yeah if you do you're gonna need ape hangers for those freakishly long azz arms of yours :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Whatever fits you homey, thats the best choice

Can not speak for the M109 but I rode a new Raider (bike of the year the last 2 years I think it was? and guessing that is what you meant when you said "Raven"?)

I hated it... the front felt like a "flexi flyer", the brakes were weak and the ergos were not all that great.. The power band was wide and smooth but the rest of the bike left me feeling like I was on an underbuilt heavy bike.. My 95 Heritage felt much more substantial and did not have that feeling of a light weight bike.. I liked the "red" paint scheme on the Raider however..

this is the bike we rode (Karen went with)..

very tough choice, but i would go with the Yamaha. at the bike shows we go to it is, by far, the most used for metric customs largely because of the engine and abundance of aftermarket parts.

i'm not one to confuse "my ride" with "my toy" so i wouldn't buy a cruiser just because it can do rolling burnouts. anytime i ride my friends C90T i am constantly reminding myself "tractor... tractor" to keep from trying to ride more aggressively than i should.

as a side, i've noticed some (shorter) people have problems with the width of the 109 when they are stopped.

I would consider a Yamaha Roadliner before the "chopper" wannabe. You cant go wrong with the M109 though. I have ridden my buddies a lot. Very nice ride. All day comfort. Gobs of power.

Personally I love the look of the 109. If I were going to buy a cruiser, that would be the one...

Between the 2 bikes mentioned, the M109r would be my choice. That blue looks good too!

Is the yamaha air cooled w/oil cooler? I'm not into that. I want water cooled(like my Nomad).

Love the 109R and have seriously considered it...still am. However...if there was more money in the coffers I saw one of these at the local HD dealership the other day and was seriously digging the character of this bike. HD Rocker....:beerchug:

I kinda agree with you on the 109 styling and the massive gap above the front cylinder on the raider (that bugs me to)...can't say the same for the Victory...don't really mine the cover, heck it blends in so well I never noticed it.

As far as the 109...should also consider
That IS A CRUISER
They also supposedly retuned that beast of an engine for
MORE lower end torque
Can't wait to ride one in OCTOBER (Can't get here fast enough)

Man!...guess i ain't been keep'in up with the latest offerings in cruiserland these daze but i gotta tell ya JIT....i never was quite sure about that outta-place headlight cover/bikini fairing but?...i've had seriouse tendencies towards the M109R ever since it's intro...but now that i see the "C109R"?....AWESOME....109 handling and performance in a stylish classic cruiser look...i love it...i see saddlebags...passenger/rider backrests...full windscreen...wireless sound/com system...and i'd be a great "Enjoy The Scenery" cruiser...and with the way floriduh laws have come down on sportbikers?...a C109R may be in my not to distant future...thanks for posting it!
