Just wanted to start this thread to share with you the experimenting I’ll be doing with motorcycle dashcams. I know a lot of people feel that a dashcam is a bad idea and could backfire on them, if they were out riding and got hurt or hurt someone while doing something stupid on their bikes and the cops somehow got ahold of the footage. In my case, I have to confess that I ride like a granny. I have my busa, the concours14 and a mustang gt, yet as I type this, I realize I can’t even remember when was last time I hit tripe digits. As I see my little town’s population grow by the thousands every year, I grow more concern about how bad traffic is starting to get and the idiots on their cell phones behind the wheel. I bought a GPS with a built in dashcam to run on the mustang, because I know if and idiot hits me, it might be a situation where it’ll be my word against theirs and the cop will most likely believe the soccer mom on the minivan, than the millennial on a “tricked out” mustang. I have the same feel about my bikes, so I have been doing research and decided to order some different setups to try. I’m starting with a MotoPro cam dual camera system that I purchased on amazon for $189 shipped to my door. The first kit arrived and I wasn’t too impressed by the packaging. When I opened the box, there was a lot of extra random mounts and upon a quick parts inventory check, found that one of the small cameras was missing. A quick call to amazon and they sent me a replacement and also emailed me a label to return the incomplete kit back.
