Well gents, this ones right up my ally. I am my Sqd. UFPM, PTL, Certified Fitness Specialist and resident spin instructor. I deal with people's profiles and fitness issues all day, every day and over my 7+yrs or experience in the Fitness world, I have landed deduced that the Vibram "toe shoe" style shoe is the best shoe for day to day activites and occasional running. Pros- utilizes way more muscle to stabilize the body instead of having a shoe to do it for you (think of free weights vs. Selectorize equip.). Forces the body to run on the balls of the feet (how were designed to run) vs. Heal striking.. I currently run a 9:31 on my 1.5Mi and do it in toe shoes! Working @ the fitness center we wear slacks, a polo and black athletic shoes... A few of us are gonna try to wear them in uniform with the appropriate sock combo since we can wear them in PT geat with white socks...
Good luck on the hunt for the perfect shoe!
You wussies need to run a real distance (yes I know the Marines run 3)
Best I EVER ran 2 miles was 11:56 (21 years old) and I uke:after it was over!
My normal 2 mile was about 14:30, and I could still run it under 16 when I retired.
You know we all hate guys like you
