+1Pronounced LEE TER Metric measurement 1 Liter = 1000 Cubic Centimeters
I kinda like "l i t t e r" as in kitty litter...I have heard the term thrown around. What does it mean?
Is it pronounced lit-ter?
awesome explanation.73.4 mm -> 7.34 cm.
use 2Pi(r^2) for area.
r = bore/2 -> 7.34/2 -> 3.67.
2 x 3.14159 x 3.67 x 3.67 -> 84.627
area x stroke = volume; stroke = 59 mm -> 5.9 cm.
84.627 x 5.9 -> 499.302
499 * 2 (assuming its a twin) -> 998.604
Cool!! now that makes sense!--grrr--- i'm an idiot ... ares is pi r ^2 ... so -REVISED-

use Pi(r^2) for area.
r = bore/2 -> 7.34/2 -> 3.67.
3.14159 x 3.67 x 3.67 -> 42.3137
area x stroke = volume; stroke = 59 mm -> 5.9 cm.
42.3137 x 5.9 -> 249.6508
249.65 * 4 (four cylinders) -> 998.602
we call them "quarts"I thought it was slang.. Like kitty litter.. to describe bikes less than busa.
So a 600 can't be called a liter bike. Makes sense.
I'm old School, so I like my measurements in Cubic Inches.Just like if your Mustang has a 5.0 liter engine then its a 5000cc engine and so a 1000cc is 1 liter . and a busa would be a 1300cc or a 1.3 liter engine
Im kinda like that to, but I've always usedI'm old School, so I like my measurements in Cubic Inches.
You'd NEVER find a post like that on a Kawasaki board!--grrr--- i'm an idiot ... ares is pi r ^2 ... so -REVISED-
