At first I was going w/ a 240 tire kit.
With translucent powdercoated spokes(to match bike) PM Torque wheels.

But I wouldn't have as much fun as I do now.
Had I gone this route to begin with.
I would have saved a lot of time & money.

Always something to mod tho

SO TO ANYONE GOING TO MODIFY YOUR BUSA
DON'T BE LIKE ME & WASTE $$$
JUST DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

(runeight @ Aug. 16 2006,21:36) I need one of those rear brackets that the pipe mounts to!

Where?

hogger...
John
just found out Orient Express sells those brackets
got another on the way
should be here today or tomorrow

ok I'm not sure how or why
but a well known dyno shop
scratched up the Marchesinis
and then tried to touch them up w/o telling me
now I have to send out the magnesiums for repainting
thankfully it's only the rear wheel
I'm guessing they were switching out sprockets & tires
(btw w/ the Pirelli Diablos mounted now-incredible!!)

sidenote Gator Customs are bringing them back to life
like it never happened

(black954 @ Sep. 19 2006,08:48) What's the status on the bike? Any updated pics? Again, sweet ride
thanks bro
which tires are you running w/ your Marchesinis?

I'm about 3 weeks out now
this didn't help

altho my painter tells me
he can get it into the mags pretty easy
(he does alot of advertising w/ them $$$)
guess that would be free advertising for them
as they did most of the work for me

Orient Express
now I don't think they have a pic of the bracket
but when I called them he put me on hold
went to double check (after telling me they didn't have it)
came back & said they do
we'll see after tomorrow I guess
I'll post a pic of that bracket

I actually only need it to get the bike rolling again:
I got an incredible machinist to fabricate an identical bracket for the left side & ordered the peg pivot to go w/ it
once they arrive sending them out to be coated black

I'm running the best, Pirelli Diablo's. I also have a set of Super Corsa's but the rear is a 180. I wanted to see how bad the 190 Diablo was before switching to the SC's. Turns out they are just fine. I have scrubbed them in as best I can on the street. The edges of the tread on the sides are rolled up now and the sides have become very sticky. I also have my forks dialed in alot better now. I had to go back down 1 click on the compression and rebound so it's now at the factory setting. I also turned up the preload 3 full turns after experiencing a few bottoming outs. Since then, I tuned up the preload one more turn to 4 full turns and I also dropped the forks one line (5mm) which all seem to help alot. I just have to be really careful doing highspeed wheelies and coming down too hard. Who knows, I might have to stop wheelieing it to save the $$$$ forks. What am I saying, I can never stop doing wheelies, I didn't mean that! Make sure to install zipties on your fork tubes so you can see your full fork travel. This helps out alot for tuning.

Oh yeah, my goal for this year is to lay black marks coming out of corners and I will probably achieve it.

stoppin wheelies

thanks for the info
we do the same type of riding
I'm around 185#, I was going to get the suspension dialed in(before this setback)

on tires I really wanted the Pilot dual compounds but since there not released til the end of the month
not willing to wait any longer
Diablos are nice!! can't wait to really test em out

btw black marks: this thread is worthless without pics

I'm sure you will

Yeah, I think they should start a sub-forum for the more "spirited riders" Cause seems like we got the same ideas with our busa's and their purpose. I'm a little bigger than you though, 270lbs.! I had the Superbike valving installed and had DanKyle Racing set them up for my weight/riding style with the springs. I think it was worth the $ but I can't compare to the standard R/T valving. It would be nice to have the Superbike nitrogen charged forks like Over200 but I had to draw the line somewhere! I really need to get the rear shock and steering damper. The turbo might have to wait, I have a supermoto bike project to begin and a 04GSXR600 track bike in the mix.

yeah I agree

very cool track bike

over200's bike is phenomenal. but even he isn't done
where does it end

once I finish this Busa
I will start on a 750 or 1K
by then they'll be newer models...I'm sure

FELLAS!!

I got 2 trick parts in today from Europe
I want to post pics...but I can't literally the only 1's in the US right now

I apologize for teasing(gotta save something)
but pics of the beast are coming soon
just got some great news
bike to be finished very soon
