I have use goo gone on mine, I notice that gen I was a lot harder than gen II. Gen I was a pain in the @zz, gen II was very easy, can't believe theres so much diference.

+1 on the RAPID REMOVER !!!! Does not touch the paint but takes the glue off like magic. I bought a bottle just for use on my bike. LOL....I bought the 1 quart size but only used a table spoon or so. If anyone in the Chicago area needs some, PM me and I'll give you a small jar full to do your bike (no charge)

I've had good luck with "goo gone" and "goof off". I also heated the glue up with my heat gun before getting after it which seemed to help soften it.
