Complete newbie here. Been shopping around for a busa for a couple of months now. Saw this local craigslist ad Drive Auto Center - Photo Viewer for a modded one for $6400. Call the place and they will go down a bit lower. However, it has a salvage title. Anywhere I can run the vin to see what the salvage title was for or extend of the damage? Bike looks clean and I'm going up to test drive this week. Thanks in advance.

you need to run a carfax report or go to the dmv to find out the extent of the damage. you are putting your life on the line when you ride a motorcycle, and you don't want to add to it by buying a bike that someone is just trying to make a quick buck and not fixing the bike right. have a qualified mechanic look at it. just be careful.

How many miles? if it shows any on the title? Be sure its a on 'hi-way' salvage title. Some states have strange laws on this matter-Check all that at your local DMV

mod list...I wouldn't give over 4500 for that bike with a salvage title unless it had some super valuable mods.

carfax on bike? have not been able to get them to do bikes...

Salvage title? better plan on getting some use out of bike, that title is a problem in many places Personally? track bike? maybe if it was cheap enough.. you can do way better IMO..

$6400 look around for clean title,you wanna get the most for your $ and that's not it...
