Carfax a VIN please

Im looking at 2001 Yamaha r6, 19k for my GF. It has a salvage title, the owner said it was dropped while being loaded into a pick-up. I'm not sure if that could cause enough damage to earn a NY salvage title, so Im a bit weary of the bike. Ill start with the carfax report and then work from there. Anybody that could look up the VIN would be a great help. Thanks Tim

Unless you are a bike mechanic or very close to one, don't bother with this bike. There is no way dropping it would cause it to be totaled. IMHO. Sounds like you about to learn a big lesson on BUYER BEWARE!!! Please walk away from this.......

If a frame has a scratch or dent in it, it is considered totaled also.

You can do a carfax yourself for only like 5-10 bucks if the bike is something you really are considering ?
Salvage titles can be nightmares in some states.
Very hard to register them.

I also wanted to get opinions on a salvage title, Im walkin away from this one.

Thanks for trying The owner seemed a bit dumb, I dont deal with VIN's alot, so lack of digits didnt occur to me.Yet another red flag on this bike.
