HMF spacer question

Hmm...scratching my head at the spacers/footpeg install.

Instructions say 1/2" spacer, mounting bracket, peg, and then washer. When I do that on the right side, my exhaust seems a mile away from the swing arm and righ into the peg.

I know a lot of guys have had trouble with the exhaust hitting the swing arm.

Mine is exactly like that. Right next to the peg on the right. One thing that I did was run a steel rod thru the swing arm pivot hole and support the bike on jack stands. Then I disconnected the dogbones so that I could move the swing arm the full length of travel. That way I know that I will not be hitting the left "S" pipe with the swing arm.
