help! what is this part

i took off my back tire to polish my swingarm and then i took off my stator cover and when i went back together i found this part with what looked like engine oil on it. pulled the stator cover back off but its obvious it dont go in there. does someone recoginize this part? thanks fellas

It's a spacer that goes between the wheel bearing and the sprocket carrier.

and also you should have a pro or at least someone better to tell if it was put back together right than look in the bucket and see you have left over parts

Its a simple fix now that you have found at where it goes. Pull the tire and rim back out and lift the sprocket carrier off and slip this spacer between the carrier and the wheel.

Absolutely! Do not ride the bike without that spacer/collar in the wheel
