GSXR or Gen 2 front end?

Complete swap including wheels rotors everything. Which would you recommend? Is the gsxr swap even possible on Gen 1 bikes?

The only real difference that could be argued between the 2 would be available aftermarket calipers, or fork cartridges, but the gen2 has plenty available.
Either should be resprung for your body weight.
Triple clamp spacing/width is the same on all gen Busas.
I belive there is a spacing difference between Busas and different year gsxr's, even though they use the same front tire, rotors to wheel and caliper to forkleg spacing is not exact.
Depending on the year of gsxr, wheel weight will vary slightly.
The easiest thing for your application would be a gen2 swap, so you get radial caliper mounts, like the gsxr, and your aftermarket options are basically the same as the gsxr, for calipers, rotors, wheel, and fork internals, and it takes away any guesswork or what year and cc gsxr part you are looking at, as there are 7 generations of 1k's, and not everything is compatible between them.
If you were to go to an 09-14 gsxr fork, with compression and rebound adjustments both on the top of the fork.
Or the 15-16R, or 17-23R with remote resiviours, there is no real street advantage...but the tools needed to service them are $$, and you better hope your local dealer has someone who can.
Otherwise, earlier gsxr forks are basically the same as Busa forks.
Different spring rates and valving from the factory, but as said, that would need changed anyway, as the Busa alone has a hundred pounds on the 1k.

I would love to see someone swap the whole front end of the current GSXR-R. BPF forks, brembo T-drive rotors and all.
They do ride nice :D
