Great comparo between H2, R1 and Busa

Yea but I bet this in the 2nd hand market would sell faster and higher then a turbo busa. We've seen some really nice ones with 10+ in parts go for barely anything considering all the money spent on them.

I suppose it's all in what people like,a lot of the liter bike crowd always have to have the latest and greatest but I personally wouldn't be caught dead on that goofy lookin' thing(especially at 6' 2",230 lbs.,would look ridiculous ).

The R1 got its ass kicked in road race trim by the older S1000rr and ZX10r/Ninja at the recent NW200 races...also all of them broke down in all but 1 race.
The H2 is quicker simply because the charger enables the engine to spin up faster.
A local Hayabusa tuning specialist could transform any Busa to kick the H2's ass for substantially less money than either the R1 or H2..
Other things they don't say is that the Busa is on antique tyres which are crap compared to anything modern.

that argument can be made for any new bike that is purchased simply because they are new and therefore worth more. if u buying a bike cause u think its a good investment then u picked the wrong toy.

any time u modify somthn u bring its value down. if u want top dollar for ur toy then leave it stock. it will fetch more money and there will be more buyers and u will save money by not modifying it but that wud be BORING! especially wen a BMW1000rr will spank ur ass in stock form going down the hi way. if ur OK with that then thats ur choice. most of us aren't OK with that.

Nice article but if it was up to me I would go with that Yamaha R1M. The regular edition new R1's have been getting rave reviews so it only makes the R1M all that more appealing IMO

We have an R1M in the crate back in our warehouse. I would love to take it for a spin.

To say u have the fastest stock street machine is cool, but not everything. When I bought my Bus, in the running was the S100RR, and the 1199. I actually went to look at the 14R only because of the street creds. Hated the feel. Took off the list quickly.
I won't knock anyone buying the H2, but it def isn't my cup of tea. Find it very ugly. And yes, Jeff, way too small for me, which is one reason I don't have a BMW in my garage btw.
Still giggle when I see that exhaust! Only exhaust larger than mine!!!

Don't give me any chit.
