Hi every one. I have a 1999 busa. Stopped working when I stopped at some traffic lights. When i released the brake pedal to go the bike stopped. Had to keep the brake light on in order for the fuel pumpnro work. Now, when I press the brake pedal the fuel pump stops !
This is a stumper...I know it's electrical but the relationship between rear brake light and fuel pump is not normally linked...somethings crossed up-more info is needed of course.
Did anyone monkey with the electrics-add extra lights, etc.
Has the bike been in an accident?
Stored for a while (allowing little critters to chew wires)?
Any wires pinched?
It seems you have crossed wires somewhere. It's a pure guess, but perhaps the ground is bad? I know the engine ground is a known problem on the early bikes. Maybe start with that?
