"Creaky" rear brake pedal

Hey Guys,

Rather than a nice smooth rear brake pedal.. i have a pedal that now "creaks" when i use it (can feel its not smooth at all and there is some sort of resistance. The brakes working fine (still locks up easy )...

Any ideas what i can do to stop this?

my best guess would be something binding up on the brake foot lever itself. Have u taken a close look at it, shot some oil on the hinge points? Also take a close look at the rear caliper moving points, maybe a tiny rock got wedged somewhere? Other than that not sure, the pros will be here soon to help diagnosis

Had similar situation on my '06, put some lube on the pivot points and she's good to go.

hit it with some wd-40

May have to take brake lever off of the peg. Clean and lube with grease. Wd40 will work but a temperary fix. Had to this to mine.

I just give it a shot with chain lube every once in a while. The kickstand too.
