Yes... and I put 300 miles on it and the plate is still there so I guess it's ok to use the plastic bracket...did your license plate line right up to the holes of the plastic bracket. mine did not.pic 1
On a side note, my plate was touching the undertail when mounted. I did not want to scratch up the "pretty non color matched paint" so I made an oreo washer stack(neoprene, aluminum, neoprene) to go between the bracket and the bodywork. No more body contact.
