engine cutting out

my 2000 busa had a power loss or engine cutting out 4 times within a 15 min period, or about 20 km. It hasn't done it in the last 70km ride home but i am afraid to take it out for any out of town rides until i figure out what caused it.

my engine idle is at 1250 - 1300.

yes it started up right when it happened at a stop sign, but the other ones happened at highway speed, so it cut out but came back a few seconds later on its own. kind of like a push start effect. when you say it might be the fuel screen are you talking about the pet **** screen in the fuel tank?

I belive thats what the mean. Try a search, i recall someone just cleaned thiers out.
