is it neccessary to run 91 octane or is 87 fine

i have found the busa runs much more smooth with 91. i'm sure the bike has more power with 87, from reading the posts on here, but 91 cuts a lot of the vibration and just seems to run smoother overall.

I run 87 in my Busa. I tried 91, I didn't notice any performance increase, but I did seem to get lower MPG.

I have been running 91, so now I guess I will change to 87. Thanks everyone for the info. Cool more money savings = more miles.
