bad day

don't feel bad I had two of the bolts that hold the motor together break on me

break is almost not the right word it's like you said no snap noise or anything... damn suzuki bolts are playdoh and are freakin superglued in

makes me think some guy is sitting there with a locktite filled pressure washer spraying the whole bike


when I remove the tank i just unscrew the one pivot bolt and slide the tank right off...
 
stuff happens!!!

lesson.taking the tank off that way is the hardest,the 4 bolts are hard to get to anyway..just unplug the tipover switch and remove the 2 12mm bolts holding the bracket itself..

and if Yor polishing the frame its going to look funny if you dont do the arm..

A lot of times when I take stuff apart for the first time I replace the bolts as a matter of course. That way i KNOW I have a good quality bolt in place.
