So I just bought a Gen 1 busa and it has a nice crease dent in tank and also painted horribly. I was looking at a tank cover fairing but I’m wondering, does the tank cover fairing just slide and fit over the existing tank and bolt up? Not sure if I need to fix the tank or if I can save the hassle and paint a tank cover if it will just bolt right over! Pic for example

I believe the cover in your post just slides snugly over your existing tank , no bolts needed . You can also get a tank cover protector / bra thing for it that straps under the tank , as another possible option .

I had 1 on my Busa for a couple years. Wiped some armor all on it a few times and never had an issue with it. For the $$$ it was well worth it

I have one of these on my bike at the moment, it bolts on the side with the black tank pads and then it bolts through with the original tank by the stem.

It’s blacked out at the moment. Fairings are gloss black and tank is flat black, going to paint cover to match fairings

Okay gotcha. Was gonna say I am going to be removing my tank cover but it’s blue / silver.
