Another late night tinkering on the Busa

I've always felt the braking on a Gen 2 was weak compared with other big bore bikes. If you have ever ridden a Zx14 or even a Bking. Those two bikes have far superior brakes then a Busa. Ran into a owner with a new 2011 Zx10 who had already convereted the whole brake system to Brembos. Made an offer for his stock setup and here we are.

Are the pads/pistons any bigger on the Kawi? Or is the improvement mainly from the radial master cylinder?

Hmm I tried to look for specs online with no luck.


I had a radial master cylinder from a 05 gsxr 1000 that did help. I also have a zx14 and the brakes on that bike are much much stronger then my busa setup. I hope that the conversion will be somewhat similar to my 14. Havent had a chance to take the Busa out yet.
 
I love my BKing brakes. I can stop from 120mph to zero with one finger on the brake. Two fingers is almost overkill. I think you will be very happy with your conversion!
