And this guy has a say in how our country is run?

IF der herr Trump were to get re-elected by some miracle.....his first year at least will be driven towards revenge.....

It won't be very pretty......
I don't know... he dropped the ball with 33,000 supeaned e mails, smashed government blackberries and SIM cards not to mention the unsecured server she used to conduct communications that were State dept level messages.

He's angry now and if he were to get into office, that anger will manifest into action...

He’s not the only one who’s angry over the political persecution of opponents and ignoring protected members of the left. I hope he gets in and locks all of them up. The corrupt ones like the Bidens who are worse than him need to pay. Going on 9yrs they’ve been accusing trump of things we now know they are far more guilty of. Is there a single email or gmail or bank record showing anything remotely close as to what we now know without doubt Hillary or the Bidens have done? No there isn’t. Not a single shred. The federal govt themself is not discrediting or doubting all the republicans have uncovered and proven. It’s ridiculous.
Trump was right and still is…

This thread is about age of our leaders. IMHO, both Trump and Biden are too old. We need to look at 4 years on as from next year.

I really hope neither Biden or Trump are nominees.
If Trump gets in, it will simply be war between the two parties, rather than serving the people.

This is where I have issues with Trump:

When his scumbag lawyer tried to bail him out with Stormy Daniels and got into trouble, Trump turned his back on him.
Mike Pence was extremely loyal to Trump, right to the end. Then he was asked to reject and return votes to the states, for which he did not have the authority and Trump turned against Pence. Basically anyone who may not agree with Trump has to watch his back. He was graciously led into the White House for a handover by Obama. Trump neither appreciated that, neither extended the same gentlemanly behavior to Biden. Finally, he is too old.

Trump did a lot of good things for the country, but his narcissism and part sociopath did a lot of damage in return. It may be hard to prove criminal acts in court, but if there was no Trump, there would have been no insurrection on January 6th. We really don't want a President whose former allies have amassed over 30 years in prison.

Squeak, squeak, squeak........

I've never been anti-EV and have always maintained that the country I live in is not ready for them en masse.....and there is very little being done to get ready....

Squeak, squeak, squeak........

See our posts below.
May 22nd, your EV thread, your post 430, you pretty much looked totally anti EV to me. LOL, you are so full of sh!t.

Bee, anyone who does not know by now that you are totally negative about EV's probably do not spend a lot of time here on the board.

You have said it over and over and over, they burn, they don't work in cold weather, there is not enough copper in the whole world to sustain the wiring and electrical infrastructure to charge them, the electrical utility companies will push up their prices until they cost more than gas, there is not enough lithium on the planet, lithium mining is a major environmental problem, the coal and oil they burn to charge the batteries makes more CO2 than before, they can't sleep in a garage, in the future insurance companies won't insure them, all your friends have bad experiences with them, they are too expensive and the batteries don't last......

Let me know if I missed anything?
BEE: That pretty much sums it up for me...

//sigh// here goes the hamster wheel............again......

You are like a dog with a bone aren't you professor?

In that exact same thread I repeated that I understand the tech but the infrastructure isn't ready for them yet...

I (like yourself) will most likely not purchase an EV for the same reasons as you stated....so in this case we are both full of poop......

You yourself are bordering on the fanatical defense of EV yet don't even own one or plan on owning one....this makes zero sense to me.

Nope, I am just reasonable and accept that for some it is a really good fit and for some not. Also my statements are realistic and not biased. Yours are all extremely biased, going out of your way to try and prove a point. For example, "the infrastructure is not ready for them yet" is true for some places, while other places are well equipped. Your statement is bias as was every other in this regard.

You are not very self aware, the squeak of the hamster wheel was started by you. Move up a few posts, if you have forgotten.

So, let's leave it there, one of us is a reasonable rational person, the other has a mission against green and EV's and will go the extremes to try and prove a point.

"Reasonable and rational" is your self description?

You flatter me with your obvious low opinion of me.....good thing I have thick skin or I'd be offended.

Perhaps the most humorous thing about all this is neither of us even own an EV and from I'm reading, neither of us plan on owning one....we are arguing just for the sake of the argument........pretty funny really....

I guess it's time to stop, for me this was not an argument, just a debate of pro's and con's based on reality and facts.

I don't have a low opinion of you. I admire your talents, you would make a really good sales/marketing guy and my customers would love you. Wish I had that kind of personality, us technical guys don't shoot from the hip, we stick to the facts, and outgoing folks normally hate Engineers. They find us boring and rude.

I'm still working while taking a break posting this during Eastern Time, working on a design which will probably make me lose a customer as she wants stuff without understanding the reality that we will have to move some walls in her house. Normally they leave and then come back when they realize no one else can achieve the impossible and there are factual features which they have to obey. Some folks just hate it when we show them the way.

Over and out.

Jelly for myself and I think many others I’m not anti ev. I’m really not anti anything now that I think about it. I am however anti-govt telling me I will eventually HAVE to own one. They will either force me to buy one or make all other alternatives illegal or impossible to get.
Make the damn things and let the free market decide whether we the people want them or not.

I used to be good at moving walls....using C-4, arty or air strikes were the best way....

My team and I rescued a team of civil Engineers who were trapped by ISIS after most of their escort was wiped out.....they were pretty happy to see us....we had a few good chats when we got them out of the AOR and back into a secure area....they were explaining what they were doing and it was pretty cool...

My brother in law just retired as a Chief Engineer with a bridge building firm.....he retired once and they begged him to come back waving all kinds of money and perks at him.....he had a big motorhome paid for by the company he worked for which he'd stay in when he was on site.....

The whole green thing is a tough cookie. To realistically keep average temperatures from raising less than 1.5C will cost many trillions. I just came back from a trip to South Africa, they don’t even know what a hybrid or an EV is.

I did my military time in South Africa, no draw, if you were a fit male then you were a conscript. Two years full time and then one to three months a year, until I left the country. Been in some pretty bad action against Russians, Cubans and folks from Angola. Had some good times also, the discipline shapes one’s character. I lost a few very good friends which left bit of a mark.

We had two options, go straight after school, no rank, have to work yourself up the lower ranks. Option two was finish college, get your degree and go in as an officer.

I went in after high school, had no rank, but after my two years graduated from college and later in life on the shorter assignments became an officer.

That was a long time ago and the place is a very different country today. What we tried to prevent has fully taken place. The Government is friendly to Russia as well as just about anyone who is an adversary to the USA. Corruption is rife and the country ranks close to the top of the list, when it comes to homicides per capita. Unemployment is close to 50% and if an illegal immigrant takes what could be someone else’s job, there is a pretty good chance of a fatal execution.

He might, he might not... we have so many other issues to deal with right now. Its time to get this country back on track and restore the traditional values that represent what the idea of America is suppose to be. Said another way... we are just waiting for the people in charge to grow up and stop pandering to special interest with tons of cash that have the draconian ideas they want implemented.

Roy Rogers made a relevant quote decades ago and I believe it still applies... paraphrased...

If this country ever fails it will be because the people of America were living under the delusion that the people running this country have high moral and ethical standards.

That statement above is getting close to the end of its lifecycle in humble opinion... the MSM mouth pieces are losing more traction in terms of credibility every day because people have located other sources. This is oftentimes blowing up the MSM narratives that come from the think tanks many politicians take orders from.

Another paraphrased quote from Roy... If you injected truth into politics we wouldn't have any politics.

Biden is the epitome of the Swamp... a leopard doesn't change its spots... he has done more damage with EOs than anybody has since FDR.

It's a sad situation really.....with all the people that can run for the office, you are basically down to these two.....there just has to be some shining star out there who will get the ship back on course but so far it doesn't look very good..

Biden and Trump both need to step down and let some of this new blood in there....

If we talk about old quotes, the first movie where John Wayne had top billing "Stage Coach" had a scene in it where they were in the stagecoach and a banker said what America needs is a businessman to be president and not a politician.....kind of ironic actually....the only issue is the businessman who did become president just didn't know how to shut up and get on with it....

Thank you for your service.....

I've only been to South Africa a couple times, we were conducting a few ops with the South African Recces teams-they were an awesome bunch and we got along very well.

Not to bore you but I was a 3rd generation soldier, both my grandfathers died in WW2, my dad served in the armored corps and I joined while in high school...I went back later and got my GED through night courses then got a degree the same way...did 33 yrs and was surprised both my sons joined and seem to be making a career out of it.

Through all the years I served, politics of my country never came into play, I deployed and did my job the same regardless of who was in office....I went to many countries where politics (and religion) were the root of all evil the catalyst to all the conflicts I was involved with. It really wasn't until I retired that I started to see how politics was affecting everyday life more and more...I honestly never paid attention to it before.

Not good.......where are his protocol people I wonder.....
His senility would have been more apparent if someone had jumped out and turned him around. So instead we all have to watch tard stroll off like all is well and not say anything.
There is NO way he makes it to next November, NO way. If he does it truly will be like Weekend at Bernie’s and the left will do everything to keep him off the debate stage and campaign trail.
How freaking creepy stupid can one get? Still live while she’s talking just walk away. He’s GONE!

Here’s another kick in the nuts and obvious admission he can’t cut it.
9/11 is coming up. Guess where he will conveniently be? In Vietnam? Yeah on one of our hallowed days our potus will be 8,000 miles away HIDING. Why? Because there is no way he can last longer than five or ten minutes in public for such a ceremony.

Conveniently you didn't add the 10 minute speech Biden gave prior to awarding the medal. I get it that Biden is too old to run again, but at least he didn't hang around to hog a photo op like your man Trump would have done. In the second video, the conversation is over. There's nothing awkward but your insistance of posting this crap.
