All gear stolen in Amarillo, Texas...

your resolve to finish the vacation is admirable :) Glad you were able to salvage some of the trip... sure is a lousy way to start..

man that some $H!T LUCK?!

Sorry bro! easy come easy go! hope they lose them as they stole'm!

Think positive, now you have an excuse to buy new gear! :beerchug: (wife cant complain)

Unreal. Sorry, bro...it's enough to crush your faith in humanity at times.

That's terrible, too bad they couldn't have tripped and broked their legs.

That sux bro!!

Were you riding the 3 sisters last weekend?? I was but I can't remember seeing a Gold K9. I did see some Busa's in a group and one was a K8-9 but not gold.

really good hotel. We told the manager about our bikes, he said that his security guard made rounds every 15 minutes. makes me think it could have been them?????? we reported it and the police were really good about it. Took prints and all. But as you know slim chance to get any back. Probably in pawn shops about now.

Were you staying off I-40? After seeing your post right after you made it I contacted a few friends in Amarillo. I asked them to keep an eye out for any used gear hitting the streets. If something comes up I will let you know.

But it sound like an inside job or more likely punks looking for quick stuff. I would also check craiglist in each of the major cities around Amarillo.

Sorry to hear this. I swear the theives are getting worse all the time. Best of luck

Yep.

Ironically, I was shootin' the breeze with the security patrol at my office the other day and he was tellin' me that this time of year, as in the holiday/shopping season, is when they see in an increase in theft crimes. Apparently the thieving population start putting in more and more overtime as we approach the peak holiday season so that they have plenty of stuff to sell for cash which they use to provide for their holiday spending. :banghead:

Be aware, be safe and be smart.

Best of luck!

Recommend you watch Craigslist in that area some of it just might show up there!

Sorry this happened. This crap makes me sick...

Sure teaches respect for other peoples property though, doesn't it?

Sure teaches respect for other peoples property though, doesn't it?

But not a lot of respect for life.

Does it really teach respect or does it teach the bad guys to come prepared? In this case it didn't stop the them from stealing all the gear.

Property can be replaced, lives can't. That said I have no problem with deadly force being used to protect my loved ones.
