We were trailoring to Amarillo, then taking three bikes to New Mexico and Colorado. Thursday sometime overnight our trailor got broken in to at the hotel parking lot. They stole all of our gear. Helmets, jackets, gloves, backpacks, cameras, eyewear, all luggage which includes our clothes. The bikes were untouched. Needless to say to be able to buy all of this stuff at the last minute would not have been possible. We re routed our trip to the hill country where it was much warmer, BUT got wet. OH well. Sure would like to have caught the thieves.

Man, that sucks BIG TIME. I hate Thieving Basteds.
At least they didn't hurt the bikes.
Hope all goes better from here on out.

Hope you at least filed a report and maybe the hotel has surveillance cameras. Sorry that it happened!

Sorry to hear about your runin with thieves. To bad you didn't catch them in the act!

If insurance doesn't cover it, I have a pair of gloves I would be happy to donate. I'm out of town but when I get back I'll check the brand and size if you'd like. Send me a PM.

really good hotel. We told the manager about our bikes, he said that his security guard made rounds every 15 minutes. makes me think it could have been them?????? we reported it and the police were really good about it. Took prints and all. But as you know slim chance to get any back. Probably in pawn shops about now.

THANKS for all the kind words. Just a reminder not to get too comfortable with the stuff. Happens when you least expect it.
