Picking up one of these badboys for a mere $700 from coworker.

Great condition, one owner, 7000 miles, well-kept.

Should be a great second bike for wife to learn to ride and me to learn bike maintenance.

Thoughts?

I know a guy that has one and has put a lot of miles on it. It should be a fun bike but she'll be wantin a 600 in about 2 months.

Oh, BTW, same person that is selling me the Ninja has an '07 Burgandy Busa, 5500 miles, one owner, never crashed/dropped, perfecto condition for sale - $6500.

As someone that did the exact same thing for my wife I'll say this.

That little bastard is as fun to ride as the Busa. No kidding. You have to shift a lot, but the smiles per mile factor is surprising.
