190/55 or 190/50

Let me throw another one at you guys, if I run the 190/55, according to the chart it higher then the 50 series. My GPS says 50 MPH and the speedo says 53-4 MPH.So with 55's my speedo would be more accurate correct? More wheel travel per revolution.Also better gas mileage, yes?

Correct, going to a taller tire will increase your actual speed (GPS speed) compared to indiacted. However, it is not going to be a 7% correction which is what you are off. You need a speedo healer.

Tuff, thanks for the advice about the 23 rear and 16 front. Never thought about doing it that way...i just put new shoes on this week so i'm so angry with you that you didn't tell me before i pulled the trigger:whistle:

Pilot Road 3 is the current tyre on mine. Had Power Pure as last set, prior to that Pilot Road 2. As for a 50 vs a 55....hardly any difference from the riders' seat, or maybe I'm riding too softly...

On my Gen II the BTO 16 190/55 gave me about a 3% correction under 70 mph. The speedo error is not linear though, so when you get to around 150 mph it is still way off.

Got the BTO 23 order in today.....will keep posted on how it holds up in the Texas heat this summer on the Busa.......of coures I will ride in C mode all the time ..........:rofl:

(Twist the hell out of that throttle) ...........just dont let wife catch ya :whistle:
