1/8 mile today a little long

Went to local 1/8 mile track today. Best run was:
1.80 60ft
3.52 330 ft
6.75 1/8
111.94 MPH
Mods are Lowered 1 1/2 inches, swing arm extended 4 inches, shinko 003 soft rear tire, all else is box stock.
I feel that 60 ft times are not so good as I could not get hooked up off the line. I went to 15 psi in rear tire and it help some but still spinning about 2 bike lenths from start line for about 20 feet and again when shifting to 2nd gear. I am leaving at 2500 RPM. I NEED SOME TRACTION !!! any other suggestions for rear tire. At 25 psi it spun badly through 1st and half way through 2nd. Again engine is box stock. I weigh 210 suited up. Perhaps it was just track, I will be going to first class 1/4 mile track next weekend. Reaction times are getting better best was .5023 worst .6122. Runs were consistant just no traction.

What tire are you using? Get a Shinko if you're planning on spending time at the strip. I run about 10psi in mine.....

Is 10 psi really safe at the speeds we are going in 1/4 mile???
What about tire spinning on wheel with this low pressure?? I am going to try Super Corsa super soft tire as the Shenko is just not doing the job at this time. Thanks for your reply.

I agree Mrbrown. I had a 200hp zx12 that was 4"over and ran a shinko at 15psi and never had a traction issue. My 60's would be 1.48-1.51. I'm sold on tha Shinko 003 ! And I'll bet that new ultra soft is really doing it.

im shure he will get faster i get 6.45-6.50 at 110mph only place im doping better is short time.thats enough mph for at least a 6.50

The safety issue is a non starter for me, I've not had a problem. I run 10lbs all the time. As far as the wheel slipping inside the tire, again, no problems there. The Super Corsa is well reviewed in the drag racing community, so you will not go wrong there either, but if you run too much presure, it don't matter what kind of tire it is, it'll spin.
