Also hearing that the Silverstone track crew are pulling an all nighter digging drainage ditches so they might actually be able to race in the deluge that's been predicted!:beerchug:

Not going to happen , I watched the tv from 7.30pm to 10.40pm , interesting footage of the bikes sitting around the sheds , so all was not lost . But no Monday race , too hard to organize they were saying . Bad for racers of all classes , but the poor UK / EU etc. fans sitting it out waiting in miserable conditions , and then they can expect to leave in bumper to bumper traffic , die hard good people .

This is frankly innexcusable. Silverstone is an F1 track in an area that rains often, owned by (amongst others) past and present UK F1 champions. The fact that the track is in such piss poor shape for motorcycle use should be grounds for an immediate move back to Donington!

It was resurfaced in the spring, they have had several wet club races etc. since to gather feedback/fix it but did nothing. Track is simultaneously glass smooth/ bumpy as hell, combined with drainage problems. Recipe for disaster, anyone see Rins jumping off his bike when it hydroplaned?
The F1 guys said it was bumpy as hell the other week and a few made comments regarding how the GP bikes
would fare, watching the free practice sessions across the classes there were plenty of 'out of the seat'moments some bloody scary. It was strange at first watching Alex Rins bail off the zook cause almost
all riders try to save the situation, he estimated 10cm of water and no brakes as the carbon discs were saturated. Alex got up pretty quick and tried to warn the other riders when disaster struck for Tito who was walking back after his fall only to be smashed into by Francos bike, poor bugger smashed Femur busted Tib and Fib.
Ive had the same injuries from a u turning car it brought back painfull memories.
