Not hardly. I’ve seen the speedo backing away from 180 a few times but I wasn’t on the limiter. That R1 thought he was fast until I went by.

The fastest I've been on the B King was 160 sitting up right but being 6' it's a little draggy but you get a better view. The fun part is taking you left hand off the bar and see how long it takes to grab it.

I did some testing with GPS back in 2011. On a gen 2 with stock gearing 186 mph on speed limiter. 193 mph on rev limiter with top speed limiter removed. 198 mph with same setup but 200/55/17 pilot power. Stock gearing could hit 200 with taller tire and bump the rev limiter up 200 rpm.

I've had my '99 up tp 295kmh on the speedo, tacho was showing 10,200rpm . . . probably around 275kmh after speedo error take away.
That was fast enough for an old guy lol.

I've gone to redline in 1st, it showed 130kmh and it's on standard gearing.
My '06 GSXR1000K6 was a different story, 160kmh in 1st at 13,500rpm, standard gearing.
I hooked second and gave it full throttle and it immediately lifted the front wheel to a frightening height and soooo instant it was more than my little brain could cope with lmao.
Saved it from flipping over . . JUST!!
