Well guys I have decided to try out road racing. My first race is Saturday the 16th @ Nelson Ledges in Ohio. I am going to ride my R1 in the Heavyweight endurance series. Gott a couple buddies that are old racers to help in the riding duties and share the cost. I have been doing trackdays and even the Kinsey racing school. I think its time to take the next step.

Goals are
1. Have fun
2. Learn learn learn
3. come home in one piece(Wife will be happy about that)

Well, I crashed pretty good. Was doing well too. Go to hot in a highspeed bend. Lowsided and slid for about 120 - 150 feet. half on pavement, half on dirt. SSome tumbling involved. Most unbelievable thing I have ever experienced. My gear saved my ass! I am fine, just a little sore. I got off at around 100. It was a sad day. But I am glad to be okay. But now that I know what it feels like I will be a gear nazi. On the street that would have been .....

Not sure about racing. I am not quiting riding and do intend to continue doing track days. Just glad to be okay.
