Who Rode Today?

I'm at the Hurunui Hotel, an historic old staging post built in 1868, beautiful day here in early autumn, waiting for my mates to show up.
Here's a few pics. . .

Went out with redbusarider on the concours. I totaled about 270 miles. Was 60’F when we left my house and warmed up as the day went by. Great day overall. Went to kissimmee state park and stopped at camp Mack for lunch. Headed to colt creek state park afterwards and stopped by to visit a friend and then went home. Left the house at 9AM and got back after 7PM. I wish the temps would stay like this in Florida all year round, but the rain, heat and love bugs are around the corner for us. Found you a gator @sixpack577

Looks like you had a perfect day Miguel, you have some creepy lookin' critters there in Florida!
I lived in Australia for a few years in the 80's, I saw a few snakes and spiders, but never went north to see the crocs, they have some gnarly old dinosaurs over there!

Weather was great kiwi! Believe it or not, I was more worried about the caterpillars. They were out in full force.!! They were literally falling from the sky. Those little buggers sting like hell!!!!! No snake sightings, except for the rattle snake skin they had hanging on the wall next not the stuffed alligator. Not sure if you guys noticed, but the sculpted gator is “chasing” a turtle. Here is a pic of the little hairy caterpillars that I took.

Ride number 3, another 270K’s / 168 miles.

Yatala, Bearded Dragon, Canungra, goat track up to Tamborine, Bearded Dragon, Beaudesert, Boonah, Peaks Crossing, Centenary Hyw back to the city.

Quite happy that I did 270ks in sport mode with full boost, a fair bit of mountain roads, and several stop / starts / dicking around, and I still had 2 bars showing on the fuel gauge. My benchmark that I judge fuel range is a town called Childers, 307k from my house when I head North on the highway. Busa and GSX14 made it, the B-King wouldn’t.

Wow . . . 32degC on your temp display, woah, that's pretty warm for Kiwis lol.
I've got a mate lives in Beaudesert, he's a Kiwi, works with the poor and vulnerable. He calls it a one horse town.
We had 21degC here today in the middle of the South Island, really nice riding temperature, t-shirt, leather jacket, textile pants with no liner, Sidi boots for me today.
I rode 150kms today and yesterday's effort was 350kms!
Had a great weekend . . . time to clean and lube the chain, AGAIN!!

First time is see a busa with the new givi v37 side cases.

We get a few inches occasionally, but it's rare. Was snowing when I picked up the Busa 14 years ago in March.
We got another 8 inches last night...now I have to break out the snow blower...sigh!
Damn that. It snows enough here that I keep a 4wd vehicle, but not enough that I need a snow blower. You can have that shite...

I have a 4wd too but am OCD so have to clear the snow....it's a sickness...speaking of which...
I picked something up from the grandkids and was sick the last couple days (spent the day yesterday on the couch) so my zip is very limited. It was a challenge to do the snow today. I am wiped now.
