Which Exhaust System?

For my road/track day Gen2 Busa.....

I'm looking to fit a de-cat system (downpipes collector, intermediate pipe/s) to my Yoshi Hepta Force slip-ons, but so far haven't found any companies supplying a system less slip-ons (e.g. I checked out Akrapovic and the system is with slip-on).

However.......I noticed Arrow supply a de-cat system for the Gen1 Busa:-

http://arrow.it/en/assembled/841

Does anyone have experience of fitting this system to a Gen2 ?

(this system is 4-2-1 so I would have to modify it to make it 4-2-2....or maybe just run with a single slip-on)

Or is there a more suitable system? ideally as light as possible - stainless or titanium (if funds allow).

Ps, I emailed TiForce in Japan about a titanium system, but didn't get a reply.....are they still in business?

Thanks.

Forgot to mention........I contacted Arrow and asked if the Gen1 system would fit the Gen2 bike and was told probably not(?), however was told they will be producing a brand new Gen2 system in the near future (no date available).

Brocks makes a titanium system. I don't know that they would sell just the collector. Asking is free though.
If lightness is important then a single muffler is the lightest style.
I put a Yoshimura 4-2-1 on my 2012, it's stainless steel, and less than half the weight of the
Suzuki factory setup.

Thanks for the response so far.

Pity about TiForce :-( ....strange that their web site is still up and running (although, as expected, the info is out of date).

I contacted Brocks, as suggested, waiting for a response.

The Vance and Hines system seems to be what I want, although a little pricey (= £500)

Ps, here in the UK a specialist company called MOTAD will make a custom system for me at £400, so may end up going with them, although perhaps the system wont be as light as some of the other systems as their pipes are 1.2 mm thick ?

Brocks can supply a system without slip-ons. The cost for the 'natural stainless front section' is $875 plus shipping.

I'm thinking perhaps I should sell the Yoshi slip-ons and buy the full Akrapovic racing single-muffler system instead.....any thoughts?

Go with the Akropovic.
They make a full dual and full single.
They also make some of the best exhaust that you can buy, quality and performance.

Absolutely don't buy the short pipes that just slip on the the factory header. They sound like DOG SH×T. My 2008 busa has a set on from when I just got it not long ago. One of the FIRST things I'm doing is taking them off and getting a full exhaust. Not 100% from who but. Just thought I'd toss some first had experience out.

I second Brocks Alien Head! I have it in black and it weighs under 10lbs for the full system (single sided). Nice deep tone. Definitely an improvement, especially with one of Brocks maps they send.

My opinion: Alien Head is stupid loud, and if you race you will burn your ankle from the exhaust. Pay attention to pipe diameter - Brock's Street Smart exhaust works well as do others with the same size pipe, but some are smaller and don't make as much power on the top end. A buddy had a Hindle that was smaller and didn't make as much power. I found that odd considering Hindle made the Brock pipes. They are out of business now, but my Muzzy street pipe makes very good power.

I found the akro cheap used on a local forum. He was selling his busa and had the power commander it was tuned with. They make really nice stuff.

Look closely at the Brocks, lots of good pipes out there. Mine is stainless steel and from memory weighs 7.5 pounds. Outside of a custom pipe it makes as much power as any pipe sold. I've had mine for 8 years and 75K miles and I've never had an issue with my ankles or any other part of my body. Best of luck, do your own homework.
