What I hate about owning a busa

Don't get me wrong I love the bike. Its the effect it has on other people that's getting on my nerves. It would seem that every time I am at a light with at least two lanes the person that pulls up feels they have to try and hammer it to race to get in front of me before we go to one lane. This means passing who ever else is in front of us. Maybe the sight makes people feel inadequate and If they pass me they will somehow be redeemed. I don't know what the hell is going on with people lately. And on another note the bike is a geriatric magnet as well. Maybe I look and smell like Jesus and there all coming over to touch me with there car cause their ready to go. Hell if I know.Ok I'm done. Every one just be careful , check twice, cause its bad out there. Ride Safe

+1000 and what's the #1 question we get ?? " How fast ya had it?" I'm really over hearing that come out of people's mouths:laugh:

I just had my first experience with that and posted in the general thread. I do notice that the Busa gets more attention from pretty much everyone. But other than kids in their STIs i never get anyone wanting to race. Thankfully. I do like it when i'm in a store with my helmet ande gear and someone ask what you riding, i respond with busa and they just stare for a sec and say wow nice man. that second of wow is fun.

It's cool i can hang. i got some training wheels around here somewhere, they were for pimpin the bike but i can see they have a real world downhill busa racing application. Now knobby 190/55 rear tires hmmm that may take some looking. lol

I love it when you at a stop sign and someone turns in front of you staring at you as he drives 2mph glaring at you like ur a porn star straddling a donkey...

I have more issues with little rich boys in daddy's beemer trying to outrun me then I do geriatrics

The weirdest look i get is when i take my helmet off as the "kids" are oogling the busa and they see im a bald, gray haired, fat OLD man! I guess they must be saying to them selves.."what a waste"...until they see me ride! :moon:

My new response to the 'How fast ya had it?' question: Azz pucker fast!

Mid 40s over here. I love it. I wear over pants so Im usually sitting by the bike in a pair of kawaki and a polo shirt. If they don't see the riding boots they have no idea its mine. Love to be the little fly on the wall. lol

If they want to touch it you can over suggest they can touch the exhaust.. evil thought i didn't just type that.

Dadofthree, Sportcustoms and myself were standing in Bojangles parking lot yesterday and a comes up and say he had an R6 that was stolen and is wondering if there much difference in it and the Busa?? wth?

Don't know about you guys, but I get sooo tired of the guys that walk over and try to hump it

In defense of the average moe, we should remember that we are riding one of THE most powerful and distinctive looking bike on the road. There are only two reasons to own the thing and good looks alone wouldn't get most of us to shell out the $$$.

To the OP: A lot of your experience is common to riding ANY motorcycle. Either way, it's good advice to be on your toes and at your best whenver on the roads.

Ride, but ride safe. :)
