That's hilarious. - In Australia the R6 is regarded as "a Lebbo bike". (Young Lebanese idiots usually ride them.)

We all know that no particular brand of motorcycle (or scooter) is to blame....they are all fun and bring pleasure to it's owner in various ways. I do recall a guy at work however, who owned an R6 and when he found out old me rode a Busa, he was relentless in kidding me about "my fat old touring bike". Finally we went for a weekend breakfast ride in the Sierra twisties.....I had my leathers off and an open menu when he rolled up to the restaurant. Suddenly I became his rock star. So shallow and unknowing are some opinions. Ahh, the mighty Hayabusa!

Never thought of a Busa as a "squid bike" - actually antithetical to that term, IMO.

Urban Dictionary: squid
The first definition (highest rated) could indeed describe many Busas, but I added a thumbs-down to the rating. I liked the bit about "squid" being a contraction of "squirrelly kid."

The first definition I heard for squid was a certian color rider who kept getting bigger and bigger bikes instead of improving his skills to keep up with 600s.

take him for a ride where you know there are some really sharp hills that will make him come off the ground and then roll through some decreasing radius turns...sooner or later, you will be able to go back and help him drag his bike out of the ditch :beerchug:

:cry:You mean.. I'm.. a... :cry: SQUID! All this time.. I thought I was cool... and I'm just a squid!!!! I think I need some alone time... :cry:

:moon::laugh:

I think he's mistaking us for the misconception that all squids ride GSXRs, but did you tell him that the R6 was the new squid bike because all the new squids try to act cool and don't want to be called a squid, so they got what wasn't being called a squid bike, which then became the new squid bike by choice.. Are you following me? lol
